Kent Billiter
Board of Director
Kent transferred to Dallas Texas in 2013, maintaining his position as a regional director of DDS LAB. Adapting quickly to a Texas lifestyle, Kent developed a heartfelt interest in equestrian-related activities, namely hunter/jumper. He is the client coordinator for Brandon Clinton Sport Horses in Pilot Point, Texas, managing all marketing, networking, and special events. An active community member, Kent occasionally brings horses to various schools and events in the area for education and awareness of their programs. He is SafeSport certified (recognized by the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee) and trained to protect students by identifying signs of harassment, bullying, and abuse.
Kent is also the executive director of the charitable Hafner Equine Foundation, whose mission is to rescue, retrain, and rehome unwanted Thoroughbreds before they reach kill pens and are auctioned for slaughter. Founded by Ashley Hafner, their ultimate aim is to prevent the purchase of horses from kill pens through education and awareness. Located onsite at Brandon Clinton Sport Horses, the foundation works directly with racetracks, striving to create an understanding of the cruel and brutal horse-slaughter industry. They seek to rescue horses discarded by their owners, deemed unsuccessful at the racetrack or unfit for various reasons, but trainable for other disciplines. Following months of rehabilitation and meticulous care, the foundation has successfully retrained and rehomed horses to responsible, loving owners. All proceeds go toward the repeated rescue of future equine prospects with retraining potential.
In 2021, Kent was invited to serve as a board member of Face Forward International, a non-profit charity founded on the belief that survivors of domestic violence, human trafficking, and cruel acts should have access to surgical care and emotional counseling, regardless of their income level. By focusing on emotional and physical restoration for women, men, and children, Face Forward provides the essentials needed to overcome hardships and rebuild lives for a brighter future. Services and transportation are free of charge for qualified individuals.
Kent resides in Rockwall, Texas on beautiful Lake Ray Hubbard. In his leisure time, he enjoys boating and finding opportunities for community outreach and education on the notable charities he supports.
